Well I can imagine that you've been wondering what I've been up to. Lemme tell ya, a LOT. Last week I graduated from Puppy Kindergarten. I got a certificate and everything.

I've also been very busy trying to dig holes out of my backyard and into the yard next door. You see, there is a dog over there that my Mommy has been hiding from me, and he needs my help. He is chained up outside all day long with no shelter and no water. I met him last week and he is a big dog, a big yellow lab, but he is soooo skinny. I don't think he eats enough. His waist was almost as tiny as mine. And he certainly isn't loved enough, because he barks all day and no one in his family comes to him. I hear him yelling, "Come on guys! Please let me be with you? I'm still a puppy, I'm only three, I'll be good, please love me again like you used to? Please! Look at me! Talk to me! Anything! What did I do wrong?" Then one of his family will yell out the door, "Stoppit!" and he whimpers quietly, "Ok, at least they know I'm here." And that is all the attention he gets until it is time to bring him in and put him in his crate at night. It makes me mad.

I'm sure that if I dug deep enough I could get under that fence and go play with him and bring him a treat or two. But my Mommy and Daddy keep blocking my holes with big pieces of wood and tell me that I can't help him, that I'm just a puppy. So I told my Mommy in a whimper, I told her, "Well will you please help him then?" She's working on it.
In fact, she asked the trainers at my school who she could contact to help her help him. They gave her the name of a local rescue and a guy who works there. They said he takes good care of animals that haven't been given the love they need.
Today Mommy went to the website for this shelter and found a very sad story about some
Beagles in New Jersey**. It took a long time, but after months of complaints and pleas, the man who abused, neglected and hoarded 50 sick dogs
went to court and pleaded guilty.
If you ask me you got off way too easy, Mr. John Mariner. I'm mad at you.

How could you do this to someone like me?
Some of the Beagles that lived in his house are now at the
Main Line Rescue which is just a few miles away from my house. They really need help to care for these sick little babies. If you
help them I will lick your face until you beg me to stop. Or, I will think of some other way to thank you. Hmmm. Think think think think think *ouch* ok time to take a treat break. Anyway if you send a donation to them please
tell me, if only because it will make me feel better.
I don't have any other new photos today but some are coming soon. In the meantime please be nice to dogs.
