Snow.

It is starting to grow on me.

Especially on my nose.

Another day, another job...

Today the post man came and delivered a package full of new goodies for me to try on so Mommy could take my picture. Some things did not fit, but this lovely eyelash sweater and Louis Vuitton style collar fit just fine...

How posh can I get?

Here's a link to the newsletter I was in... that my Mommy designed. Today she designed an ad for Modern Dog Magazine with my picture in it, along with a Pug named Max that I haven't met before, but it looks like I did because we're sitting together in the ad.

How did she do that?

See, now you can say, "That Maggie. I knew her when..."

I'm a model...

You know what I mean

And I do my little turn on the dogwalk

I wag my little tail on the dogwalk!

Who am I wearing? Why, my new favorite, Posh Poochy! They made the Doggie Plates that my mommy painted. And I'm on one of them! Can you find me?

See this bed?

This is MY bed.

Mommy and Daddy may argue the fact that it is indeed MY bed by saying that it is THEIR bed, but rest assured...

This is MY bed.

I may not sleep in it every night, it may not have my hair indelibly implanted in it yet, but that does not matter to me. It is MY bed.

And if you do not believe me yet, that this is MY bed, well then sniff right here in this spot in the middle of MY bed. That's right, I have marked it. It has my unmistakable scent. They try to wash it out, but they should focus their attention elsewhere. Because whenever I want to, I can mark MY bed again, in the very same spot. And so, according to all Dog Rules and Regulations, this bed is completely, unreversibly, legally and bindingly--MINE.

But you can come and snuggle with me up here any time. Unlike some, I have no problem sharing MY bed. Is that not what beds are made for?

Christmas, New Years, Birthdays... what next?!

Today is my Mommy's birthday. I think I will call it a Barkday. When she was born she had a Beagle named Max. She called him Maxie, and they were best friends. She loved him so much that when she got a dog of her own, she chose a Beagle (that's me, Maggie!). Aren't I lucky?

Thank you, Maxie, for being such a good dog! You set me up, big time.

Paws in the City: My First New Years Eve

So last weekend was New Years Eve. This is a new Holiday for me. (Actually, they are all new... how many can there be? When will it end?). Mommy and Daddy packed me up in the car and we drove to their friends' house in the Big City where there is hardly any grass but there are lots and lots of interesting smells. I had never been to the Big City before so it was very exciting. And once we got there, who did I see?

Why, it was my friend Otter! The people were all a little worried about how Otter would react to me being in her house. Apparently some dogs really get on her last nerve when they visit, and then she throws up. But not me. We were pal'ing it up in no time. I even let Otter go into my Cave for a minute (but only a minute--that was enough). We shared water and snacks and the couch and laps...

Now, I don't know why those people had to ruin it by putting Otter's antlers on me. Her antlers were obviously not made for a Beagle, and they were not nearly as colorful as mine.

Which is why you see me here trying to get them off. But don't worry pups, I did. Lickety split.

So that night I slept at Otter's house and I got to go on lots of trips outside for chop chop in the Big City. I was really good because I figured out where the front door was and I would sniff around it when I had to go. Except when I was upstairs. That was a little confusing.

In the end I had a lot of fun! I hope this means that me and Otter will get to hang out more often. She's not one for games of chase, but I hope she teaches me to jump the way she does someday. I love that Otter.
