I'm Two!

Hello pups!

Guess what?

It is my second birthday!



And this weekend, I had a visit from two other Colorado beagles, Rocky and Samantha. They came to my house! I will have photos to share later, but for now, let us focus on MY BIRTHDAY.

Arrooorooorooo! It is my birthday! And in honor of this day in Beagle history, I will share with you some photos of the first time I met my Mommy and Daddy.


This is one of the first photos my Mommy and Daddy ever saw of my litter... somewhere in that pile of pups, I'm squirming and probably hungry for milk.


We think that's me on the far left, with my unmistakeable white patch on the tip of my muzzle.


Here I am at 4 weeks with my sister behind me, as Daddy and Mommy tried hard to decide which one of us they would take home in another 4 weeks.


Here Mommy holds me, and holds us both. You know, it wasn't so difficult to see who was the spunky, lively, most obvious choice in the litter.


Especially after I tried to steal a meal from Daddy's nose!


This is me in my new home, and my first experience with grass...


Mommy and Daddy had this backyard created just for me.


And here is one of my first naps in my new bed with my best buddy, Ducky. Gosh, he looks so big then! He is much smaller than me now. How did that happen?


These days, 2 years later, I do a lot of digging and plowing snow, rather than rolling in grass.


And I watch squirrels and birds at the birdfeeder right outside this window. One day I shall catch them all!


In the meantime, I can dream about it.

Here is a movie of me walking down our street, wearing my winter gear--a sweater and booties. No, they do not really match. But they are good for keeping me warm in subzero temperatures. We can not always be fashionable, not when it is that cold!

I promise I will be back soon with more pictures. The tough part is getting access to the computer when Mommy is using it all the time!
