Back to Normal, Almost

Big Dog Little Dog

She and Daddy keep trying to separate us whenever we start to play. I find this to be very frustrating for a Beagle like me. Is Butters not my play toy? Did they not buy him at the store just for my amusement? Feh...

Apparently the stitches on his belly is not like the stitches on my goosey goose, or my duckie, and I am not allowed to bite at them. If I did, would Butters be full of fluffy white stuffing too?

Something wrong with Butters.

Dazed and Confused
Butters in a daze.

Hello aroo, I know it has been a long time since I came here and said something. Maybe I have been too busy. Maybe there has not been anything important to say. But today I have something important to say.

Butters, my big little brother, has had some kind of operaration.

Now, there was a day two years ago when I had my own operation. I came home with a cone on my head. Butters, however, has no cone on his head. What kind of operation is that? How is that fair?

And I did feel bad for him when he came home yesterday. I swear I did. Right up until the point when Mommy and Daddy FORGOT I EXISTED and gave him all the attention in the world until the end of time. That used to be MY attention, people. Seriously. I do try to share but I can not let it get out of hand already.

So today Butters was looking and feeling much better than yesterday when they took that unchewed black piece of pig's ear out of his belly. Oh Butters. He may be big, he may be strong, but as far as brains go... I did not want to say anything, but really, every dog knows that you are supposed to CHEW something like that--in fact, that is half the fun of a pig's ear. The other half is pretending someone else wants it and running around with it.

Today silly Butters was walking and even barked once. I tried to get him to bark more and even run but he was not ready yet. Either that or he is totally milking Mommy for this attention thing.

Recovery
Butters enjoying TV time in the bedroom... during the day. What is up with that?

Whatever, he will be better soon. And then I will dominate him again, just like old times. I will give him a break--for now.
