On Wednesday, April 11, I read my manuscript, Time to Fly to three classes of Kindergartners and First Graders at Charles Drew School in West Philadelphia, as part of WePAC’s celebration of National Library Week. In the past 2 years, WePAC (West Philadelphia Alliance for Children) has reopened, staffed, and stocked dozens of libraries in underserved communities on a volunteer basis.
