  • An image from a compelling dream. From the (no name) Art Group fundraising exhibit, "THE ART OF GIVING" for Philabundance at B Square Gallery in November, 2010. For more information visit <a href="http://nonameartgroup.org/noname_site/latest.html">the (no name) Art Group website</a>.
  • The final cover art for a compilation of children's music that I conceptualized, co-produced, and illustrated. I worked with American Laundromat Records to bring this very personal and gratifying project to life in May 2010.
  • This cover art graced the sleeve for the transparent blue 7" vinyl record that featured Sigur Ros, Tanya Donelly and Telekinesis—a bonus for a few hundred early orderers.
  • Watercolor illustration from my picture book, "Time to Fly." My literary non-fiction manuscript received an Honorable Mention from the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators in the 2009 <a href="http://www.scbwi.org/Pages.aspx/Current-News?2009-Karlin-Grants-Awarded">Karlin Grant Competition</a>. I've got a whole dummy of sketches for it too.
  • Watercolor illustration. I created this in 2003 (long before Jan Brett's "Three Bears" came to life, thank you!) for the (no name) Art Group's Bookmark fundraising project. Sales from the bookmarks benefited First Book Philadelphia, which supplies books to underprivileged children.
  • My dear friend <a href="http://www.thereadingtub.com/displayInterview.asp?id=9">Katrina</a> wrote a story about her earliest experiences of an unfamiliar culture, called "Chanda's House." She asked me to use images from her childhood in Colorado to create several illustrations for her submission package.
  • Have I mentioned that I adore everything about snow?
  • CD Cover illustration for FAO, Inc. Following the aftermath of 9/11, Zany Brainy and FAO Schwarz wished to release a CD of patriotic children's music, and asked me to illustrate and design the packaging.
  • "Gotta Dance" was the third in a series of music compilations published by Zany Brainy & FAO Schwarz, produced by Craig 'N Co.
  • If I can sneak a penguin in it, I will. Album cover art for Zany Brainy's "A Very Zany Christmas" children's music compilation.
  • This illustration was first used for a compilation of children's music produced by Craig 'N Co, and sold in Zany Brainy stores. I recently licensed it to the Make-A-Wish Foundation for a direct mail fundraising campaign.
  • This is just one example of many, many educational materials I created for Childcraft Education over the past few years. Childcraft liked my flash card illos, and if you really want to see them, I can send you all 2,374 of them.
